Pink with a dash of red

Go pink with Rimmel London and Barry M
I adore my pink and red shades of make up, from blusher to lipsticks. So I thought I'd do a make up blog based on these colours, especially seeing I've not done many make up posts compared to my fashion ones. Let's start off with lipsticks, I was in Superdrug the other day and needed a new red lipstick as mine have disappeared out my room, I thought I'd take a look at Rimmel London's new Kate Moss collection. The new colours are fantastic, very bold shades that will make a statement. I seen this deep red (number 01) and fell in love with it straight away, I like my bright red lipsticks but I also like a dark coloured red shade as I think it looks abit more sophisticated and edgy compared to the regular bright shades. I also came across this very eye popping bright pink shades (number 20), now I'm not normally a big fan of bright pink lipstick however this colour did pop out at me but for all the right reasons. I would not wear this if I was wearing an outfit that was all bright colours, but I think this shade would look very nice with white or black outfit just to add abit if colour to the full package.
There were so many bold colours in the new Kate Moss collection, so if you like having that long lasting statement on your lips, then have a look at their new shades. I remember when I bought my first Kate Moss lipstick when they first came out and it smelt sweet and devine and the new range is just the same. I also find these lipsticks fairly long lasting, I do tend to re do my lipstick after a few hours however I'm not having to worry about checking my lips with my compact mirror every 10 minute. I can just relax and apply again just before the end of the night.

My other new buy was some new pink shades of Barry M nail varnish, this brand has always been one of my favourites to buy for nail polish and I thought if add some more pink to my collection. I've recently bought a few pastel colours when recently buying Barry M, I adore pastel shades and there perfect for Summer. So I thought I'd add a pastel pink to my over growing collection, I applied this to my nails the day I purchased it and the colour looks lush and so refreshing on. One thing I find with Barry M is that the colour always does justice, if you like the shade of nail varnish your buying then you won't need to worry with the end result as it will look the exact same colour as from the little bottle. I also bought a beautiful sparkly pink shade as I thought it would look brilliant on top of the pastel pink as a top coat and I was correct with that thinking.

You don't need a lot of the sparkly pink and it spreads really easily and sets surly quickly. I finally also invested in a clear coat which works as a bottom and top coat and helps harden the varnish quicker. I don't know why I haven't bought it sooner, I applied this first and then again over the pastel when it had dried and again after the glittery pink. But I only needed a dash each time, you do not need to a use the top coat like you would do with your main coloured nail varnish. This coat dried my nails a lot quicker and gave them a nice gloss finish. Barry M have so many shades to offer: pastels, neons, silk, metallic, neutral  and so much more. I also feel like I'm at a candy shop whenever I pass a Barry M counter and 9/10 I will purchase a new nail polish. I also find Barry M to be fairly cheap compared to a lot of other nail brands, so if you want good quality varnish at a budget price then look no further.
